The PNIR mentions what is known as the three Rs, to reduce, to re-use and to recycle:

  • To stop the growth in the generation of residues that is happening at present.
  • To reduce waste and to promote the prevention, the reutilization, the recycling of the fraction that could be capable of it and other mechanisms of valuation of the fraction of residues that could not retrain.
  • To prevent the residues from contributing to climate change.

The purpose of the plan is to promote a policy adapted to the management of the residues, reducing its generation and stimulating a correct treatment. Moreover it also suggests that public Administrations, the consumers and users interfere so that each of the parts assume his respective quotas of responsibility.

GeoSilex®, 97 % comes from industrial residues.

GeoSilex® is made from dangerous residues generated by the industries that manufacture of acetylene gas.
These residues, apart from hydroxide of calcium, contain numerous impurities, organic unwanted matter, compounds of sulfur and heavy metals. GeoSilex's manufacturing process from the point of view of health consists of rendering inert organic matter, to prevent it from forming sulfuric anhydride and to precipitate the heavy metals in insoluble very stable carbonates by means of selective carbonatation.

At the same time as the rheology of the product is conditioned, it preserves the capacity of irreversible aggregation of Ca(OH)2 and the hydraulic reactivity due to the special properties of the nanometric lime. These particles are kept displaced of the process of premature carbonatation of the compounds of sulfur to preserve its capacity to preserve the setting through the collection of the environmental CO2.
